AB property taxes still a concern ...
One issue confounding Atlantic Beach's financial situation is tax collections. In June, an investigation by The Sun News found that no building inside the town limits had been reported to Horry County since 2005, meaning no new construction value had been added to the tax rolls there in years. Further, about 18 percent of the town's property taxes were unpaid and overdue.
