OLD TOWN ? It would be hard to place an archaeological dig in a more public setting, but what makes this excavation even more prominent is that its location has been called the most haunted house in America. Seth Mallios, an anthropology professor at San Diego State University, and his team of students are digging up a long-buried well and privy behind the Whaley House in Old Town.
